Greenovation Operations: Go Green with GO Team!

Greenovation is a word mashup of green + renovation and I'm telling you it's hot, HoT, HOT, in Hotlanta.
The highest expression of going green residentially is to take existing properties that are already location-efficient and greenovate them with healthier, energy-efficient, eco-friendly features and additions. This is a different mind-set from tear-down and build-new and more closely adheres to the mantra of "recycle, reduce, and reuse." It's also appreciated in historic neighborhoods because of it's sensitivity to the vernacular of the area, preserving the architectural flavor of the neighborhood instead of injecting a structure that is out-of-scale, out-of-sync, and out-of-character with adjoining properties.
According to a survey by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Remodelers, more than one quarter of remodelers report seeing growing demand for green remodeling. Plus, the BeltLine redevelopment initiative in Atlanta is essentially the greenovation of a 22 mile loop of Intown Atlanta, so the residential component is naturally flowing from it.
I'm currently working with several clients on greenovation projects with more on the horizon, so I've partnered with some other professionals to form the Greenovation Operations [GO] Team. The goal of GO Team is to be your go-to for going green, residentially. Catchy, huh?
GO Team is your personal posse consisting of a green real estate broker [me!] + green lender + green remodeler, all working together as a well-oiled machine to deliver your dream ecohome on-time and on-budget.
One of my goals here at EcoHomeGuy.com is to use this blog to chronicle the journey of some of these projects using video content and even journal entries from the Buyers.
Stay tuned for more on GO Team!

Interesting post, particularly since we're in the middle of our own Greenovation! Jeff from myEnergyLoan did the lending on the project, and our blog is at www.601third.com.
