Ecovillage steward position offers green entrepreneur free room + board

Are you bright green and looking for a new opportunity?

I've already told you about my brother Wayne's ecovillage project over in Huntsville, AL. What I've learned since then is that Huntsville, AL was recently voted #9 in the top ten greenest U.S. Cities.

Embedded in the heart of that green city is Lincoln Mills, a historic site comprising over 7 acres and 200,000 square feet of buildings being redeveloped as an ultra-sustainable, mixed use village. Strategically located one mile north of downtown Huntsville, this community will include onsite composting, organic vegetable gardens, fruit and nut trees, indoor, year-round sprouting, chickens, goats, sheep, tilapia, and bees. A commercial kitchen, canning and drying operation will process the produce, and a restaurant and organic farmer’s market are envisioned for the site, as well. Both grounds and rooftops will be bio-intensively utilized.

Wayne says,  "A unique individual or couple is sought to initiate and oversee the implementation of these features. Initial compensation will be an expense-paid ecohome, to include all utilities and internet, plus 'all you can eat'. When successful, compensation will evolve to include profit sharing."

"An energetic married couple would be ideal, and outside employment could be maintained by one or both, making this a most flexible opportunity. Lincoln Elementary is an easy 3 minute walk for those applicants with young children."

Thanks for promoting this, ecohome guy. The response has been encouraging. As suspected, there are many people out there that want to help usher in the relocalized, ecoLOGICAL way of life. Due to our need, and the ensuing demand, we are opening this opportunity to include 4 positions.

Hi! This job sounds perfect for my boyfriend & I. We are looking to relocate, and obtain employment in the eco-field. How would I apply?
